Question by Jason: should family members of cancer patients take human growth hormone?

Human growth hormone (HGH) is appropriate for a very narrow range of medical conditions and should only be taken under the direction of a physician.

The illegal use of HGH and counterfeit substances claiming to be HGH are widespread. Many people believe that athletic and sexual performance can be boosted through use of HGH, but they are playing with fire. HGH is a powerful bio-chemical agent that presents many risks.

Answer by Moi;;!!
well since i have a bio 12 exam soon ill explain as well as i can:
GnRH (gonadotropin hormone) stimulates the anterior pituitary to secrete FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) which stimulates the release of testosterone…FSH controls the testosterone levels and production through the testes…and when high levels of testosterone are detected in the blood, FSH stops sending signals to produce testosterone, so the production stops….hope this answers your question…my teacher would be so proud

by Karlina – Carla Sedini

Question by Natedogg: Please tell me what you know about Human Growth Hormone?
I am looking at trying some of the new human growth hormones that are floating around. I have read quite a bit about the hormone and there seem to be no real harmful side effects. From what I have read, lean muscle mass is easy to build and it is a great fat burner. Has anyone had any exp. with it, or know anyone that has?
Thanks for the free workout routines, but I have a great program already. As many men that lift, I am looking for a little extra help. I don’t need help with exercise routine.

Human growth hormone is used on pre-teens and teens to grow before, during and after puberty . It is used prior to the bone ends (growth plates) completely shut down , around age 18. Your effort to use HGH for building muscle would be a waste of money, even if you can get a prescription for it. It will also cause your internal organs (including heart) to grow when your bones can’t, do you really want to deal with that .

Pituitary gland in the brain. It is located in the center, just behind the nose and eyes. The outer edges secrete hormone, and this is where tumors usually form.

Question by Zitos: Does Human Growth Hormone Make You Look Older?
If it does, then let’s say for example you’re 16 and you look 16, and you eat some Human Growth Hormone and then stop, until you look for example 18, so let’s say for example you turned 23 after a few years, is it just gonna make you look 23 or you’re gonna look like you’re 25?

Best answer:

Answer by BowMan63
HGH(Human Growth Hormone) doesn’t have any effect on teens or young adults because their bodies are already making maximum growth hormones. So to answers your question it wont make you look any older, also pure HGH isn’t sold in GNC or Vitamin Shoppe and has to be injected not taken in pill form. Good Luck

How can I stimulate my pituitary gland to produce more Human Growth Hormone?

Wednesday, August 25th, 2010

Question by jarjarbinx: How can I stimulate my pituitary gland to produce more Human Growth Hormone?
I have heard that your pituitary gland produces growth hormone when you sleep. I am quite short, but pretty sure that I am not HGH deficient. I do not get more than 7 hours of sleep 5 days a week during school, sleeping 9-10 hours twice a week. I am 14. Is this enough sleep? Is there any other way to naturally produce more HGH?

Best answer:

Answer by Elf
This is generally enough sleep for an adult, it’s borderline for a teenager, but for growth purposes, should be plenty. (For memory purposes, extra REM sleep is good)

Are you male or female? If you’re male, there’s a chance you just haven’t hit your final growth spurt yet – that’s usually right around 13-14 years old… but if both your parents are fairly short, you’re likely to be fairly short, too.

Overproduction or misuse of HGH can cause acromegaly, which isn’t a condition you want either.

If you’re concerned about your height being abnormal, talk to your family doctor and review the growth charts to see whether your growth progress over time has been typical.

It is known that patients with true ADHD tend to have smaller cerebellums – or smaller brains in general.

Can Human Growth Hormone improve this?

Risks and side effects of GH treatment
The possible risks and side effects of GH use are varied. They can occur even when used in “pharmacologic doses.” They include:

swelling of the hands and feet(edema)
thickening of the bones/jaw
carpal tunnel syndrome/Arthralgia
tingling in the extremities
numbness in the hands and feet
increased organ growth
decreased insulin reception
acromegaly
decreased thyroid output

Q&A: Did you know that the NFL does NOT test for human growth hormone?

Sunday, August 15th, 2010

Question by cannonball: Did you know that the NFL does NOT test for human growth hormone?
I read this today as I was reading about the drug/ alcohol test on the San Diego Chargers player that was shot by the police officer. It said tests show that he was intoxicated. They also tried to trace back the source of his unusual fits of rage. The NFL reported that they do urine tests for steroids but do NOT do any type of testing for human growth hormone. That requires a blood test. That explains ALOT in terms of the way the majority of modern day players look (artificially huge) and act. I always thought HGH was tested for. I thought something was fishy the last 10 years in the NFL.

Q&A: Concerning Human Growth Hormone and Height?

Friday, August 13th, 2010

Question by Enigma: Concerning Human Growth Hormone and Height?
I will turn 16 on the 8th of September, 2007
I am 5′ 6 tall and weigh about 145 lbs

Height has always been a sensitive issue in my eyes and I can understand its importance because of how it is perceived by society.

Suffice it to say that I don’t want to stay 5′ 6 for one reason or another.

I have looked into other methods for height increase and found that most, if not all are ineffective, with the exception of the “limb lengthening procedure” and “human growth hormone,” respectively.

Just judging from a cursory glance, the first of these two would not be feasible.

That leaves Human Growth Hormone. Human Growth Hormone
is available in oral sprays, pills, and injections.

Essentially, only the injections work.

I have about $ 10,000 to spare offhand.

I have been reading prudently and found that HGH by injection, the cost that is, ranges from “$ 10,000 – $ 18,000

I don’t quite understand the discrepancy. Nonetheless, I am willing to bear any discomfort or inconvenience if that is the issue at hand.

It is required that the epiphyseal plates be open for HGH to work properly, in increasing height gains in adolescents

In a nutshell I have three potential problems.

a)Do I have enough money to pay for the treatment ($ 10,000 no more, no less)?
b)Have my growth plates closed?

c)Supposing that cost and eligibility don’t pose an issue and I reach the treatment stage, about how much could I be expected to grow and what might be my final height?

Thanks for your help, it is greatly appreciated.
Did I leave the impression that I was female…?

I’m not.

In light of that you could probably understand my concern

Best answer:

Answer by music_literature_freak
You probably have enough money to afford it and your growth plates have not closed yet. Usually, your growth plates mold together by the time you’re in your early 20s.

Question by Lucky: Has anyone heard of a product called powerFULL a human growth hormone is it safe?
i heard of this product called powerFULL its a human growth hormone and used for work outs in weight lifting and was wondering is it safe

if anyone has used it please let me know what happen to you

also does it have any side affects?

Best answer:

Answer by Laurus Nobilis
Even if it were a hormone, hormones are digested orally, not integrated. In other words it would be like eating fat, not injecting hormones. Of course, if it were actually HGH, its purchase would be illegal obviously, but it’s not illegal, because it’s not human growth hormone.

The purported testosterone-boosting effects are probably from a combination of prohormones like tribulus (which mostly have imagined effects) and nutrients that are already found in your food.

So basically the side effects are you losing lots of money.
